I am now over 1 year of Tinnitus. I have gone through retraining therapy for 8 months and in the past 3 months have gotten worse after seeming to get better. I have always had head pain, buzzing, tooth pain eye and nose numbness, pains in my neck and upper back. I also had strange sensations when wind blew through my hair or the sun shone on my head. All this only on my right side where my tinnitus is. Recently a Physio guy mentioned trigeminal nerve as a root cause. Looking this up many or all of my symptoms are very close to someone who has Trigeminal Neuralgia. I don't think I have that but a very close cousin.
I've read a bit on it an there seems to be a good link. I go to see a neurologist next week. I've searched the forum for other posts and have only found one, but he was not in the same situation. Comments from anyone would be good

Did you have dental work done days, weeks or months before the T started? I have a lot of the same symptons. We're now looking at a dental problem, the gums around the last molar upper left. I have left ear Tinnitus and facial pain.

Coincidence...my doctor just talked about "trigeminal nerve" this morning. I've told him about my hurting teeth. But for now he rules it out in my case because my hurting teeth changes a little bit (from right to left, it's not always on the same side). Also at least the last 2,3 days were a little bit better regarding hurting teeth. I have no dental work done the last 12 months.

I had not had any dental work before my T started. I did have any suspect teeth capped and made sure there is no connection. My teeth don't hurt to chew or bit hard on anything. Tooth/ gum irritation usually occur when my other symptoms are bad. If you read up on it teeth are frequently signaled out incorrectly. During good times my teeth can feel fine. Other times some parts of my face may feel numb but nothing in the teeth. It really is strange.
