Hi Thomas,
Thank you for answering all my previous questions. There is so much I want to know about the condition, and your answers are very insightful.
I have read on your blog that you have had occasions when new tones imprinted themselves on your tinnitus. For some reason, I have developed 2 new tones, probably due to stress I was under recently, and noisy plane and the awful CRT monitors on the airport.
Did the new tones that you have developed vanished after some time? Or where they pernament? I have had these for about a week now.
Kind Regards

Those new tones were direct 'copies' of tones that I happened to listen to for a brief period (a few minutes). They disappeared however again within half an hour or so without me having to do anything against it.
You case seems to be different. Quite a few people experience new tones during certain periods (could be due to stress), but you shouldn't let this worry you. It should all settle down again when your nervous system re-balances itself.

Thomas, from your experience, how long does it take for the nervous system to rebalance itself? We are talking about folks who, after their tinnitus onset, follow stress reduction and good habits.

It is different from person to person, but it is roughly between 2-6 months for most people.
