one ear with low buzzing sound

alright so i'm 16 and recently I started to hear a low buzzing sound in my left ear. I asked my parents and they said its probably from hearing music to much. I usually prefer to wear ear buds on my left ear but leave the right out so i could hear my surroundings. So i took my parent's advice and i stopped using ear buds and it stopped during the night. But during the morning when I'm fully woken I begin to start hearing the buzzing sound again for the entire day until night time when the buzzing fades. Right now I'm pretty confused of what's going on S: I did some research and it said my ear drum might be damaged or perhaps even it might be even an ear infection but I don't feel any pain on my left ear at all just the low buzzing sound. I'm here to seek advice of what I should do now, should I go see a doctor? or would this heal in a couple of days?  thanks.

Hi SunnyyC,

Welcome to the forum.

It is unlikely that there is something damaged, but you could visit a doctor just to be on the safe side. It could well disappear by itself. Taking a few painkillers (Paracetamol (Tylenol) or Aspirin) for a couple of days could help with this.
