In the first link a doctor from sweden explains a group of tinnitus sufferes with the following tinnitus profile which is exactly I have.
1. The patients are able to alter their tinnitus sound, both sound level and pitch
by performing movements of their jaw, neck and eyes.
2. Many patients are able to alter their tinnitus sound by putting pressure with a
fingertip on the temples, mandible, cheek , tragus, behind the ear and in the
neck.
All these movements increase tension signals from tensed muscles in the
innervation area of the sensory trigeminal nerve linked into the acoustic
pathways.
The second link shows some physical exercies around face and neck.
The last link shows the treament results.
I have been doing 3 different exercises for 15 minutes everday. I observe a reduction in my overall tinnitus although it is not permenant yet .
They say somatic tinnitus is very common and response very well to treatment.
Dont ignore if your tinnitus profile fits the given in the doc.
Note: I was listening to notched music as a possible treatment. I applied that for a month. that one works too but was not permenant. Once i recognize this which describes my tinnitus I switched to the treatment provided.

Hi Izzet,
I have heard from some people where physiotherapy for tense jaw or neck muscles has helped, but I think one always has to look at the whole picture here. Often tense muscles are a symptom for some kind of psychological stress, so you might have to look further if you want to get at the actual causes and have a permanent improvement.
