Tinnitus and stress/caffeine

This sunday night I noticed my T increased in my right ear and has not subsided. Two new things. For the past 3 to 4 weeks I have taken Apidextra to see if it would help in losing weight. 2 a day is an additional 66 mg of caffeine. I drink maybe 2 cups a day.
Also had to put family pet down suddenly saturday. It's fair to say we were close. I take other meds but have been for years so I don't think they are the culprit. (Heart meds, Fluoxetine, Kflex) Also I use half a 21 cig patch to help me control snacking/weight since Jan. 2011. (Has really helped).

Re: Tinnitus and stress/caffeine

Hi Tinman,

Welcome to the forum

Yes, caffeine can be a culprit, so if possible you should avoid it for a while to see whether it makes any difference.

But the timing you mentioned suggests that it was actually the psychological stress due to your pet that caused it. In that case, just give it some time and it will sort itself out.
