Thanks for your time and efforts here! Everyone!
The info here is very helpful and I would like to add,
I am 57 years male have had T for years. I have surfers/divers ear. Both parents had High blood pressure. Dad had T also and unfortunately I never had an informative conversation with him about it before his death.
A few years ago I started taking Lisinop/HCTZ for blood pressure. Have read some people have various problems with it.
The little I have read it seems some of the common things are blood pressure , blood flow ie lying down in bed causes me more noise . A few months ago I had a bad flu . After the worst of the flu was over, I still had some sinus problems. Never having used a modern nose spray before, I managed to get the spray between my sinus and eardrum, which got infected and building pressure broke my eardrum. To my surprise Dr. said this happens often! My eardrum was fine after about 6 weeks. Since then I have had another noise added to my usual T. This sound comes and goes only in right ear and only when I am lying down, about to go to sleep or just waking up.
I do read with interest a post by Glyn Flyers which mentions onions garlic and tomatoes. I have been eating these in sandwiches for a long time , with the thought that they would help blood pressure, blood quality etc. Then again you hear mention of how these foods help !
I read alot about breathing relaxing , I see a popular device to lower blood pressure online that monitors ones breathing and blood pressure and "teaches" you how to breathe correctly to lower blood pressure.
I would like to get rid of the blood press meds and may try this approach
For a long time I have wondered what it would be like to have no noise in my head. Since my sounds are at a level just preceptable above normal conversation I consider myself lucky. I also wonder if cured how all the silence might pose a strange new situation, can one have too much quiet??
Good luck to you all , and to you Thomas Smid for your efforts here!

Hi Clay,
Welcome to the forum.
Just for clarification: Glyn Flyers actually appeared to have problems with onions, as well as some other foods (see this page). The point is that some foods contain ingredients (either naturally or added) that change the chemistry of the nervous system in a way such as to aggravate the tinnitus. There are no hard and fast rules here, but you should just keep an eye on what you are eating (this includes added ingredients like the flavour enhancer Monosodium Glutamate (E621) which is often found in instant and canned soups and sauces, crisps and other snack food).

Thanks for the email Thomas. I have tried to stay with "real" foods most of the time. We can be exposed to so many of what I call "special interest ingredients" ingredients that the FDA allows, usually at a price, manufacturers the ability to hide the real information consumers need , re your comment msg/E621 etc.
I have noticed that the new sound in my head/right ear I can control , in that as I said before it shows up when I lay in down, but by increasing my breathing rate and focusing on my breathing I can keep the sound away long enough to get to sleep. I am also using a pillow that is thicker and raises my head up more than before..I can sort of feel when the sound is approaching , I figure its blood system related somehow. What I find interesting is that I can effect this new noise but I have no effect on the sounds that have been with me for years. One blood system generated one brain generated?

Clay,
I think it would be a premature conclusion to say that one sound is brain generated and the other blood generated.
The nervous system is just very complex and complicated, and some parts may respond easier to physical changes than others.
