I had contact with 1 or 2 people from India in the last few years, but they did not mention Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT).

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy is an assisted program that helps to push the tinnitus into the background so that it becomes less of a problem. Since TRT is thus a habituation therapy, you can usually do it only if you have had tinnitus for a while, usually about 6 months. At an earlier stage the tinnitus is still too variable for TRT to make any sense. Of course, after 6 months you might have habituated already anyway, so in this case TRT would not make much sense anymore (after all TRT is not aimed at a complete cure from tinnitus).

Your ENT doctor should be able to give you information about TRT in your country. On Google I found for instance this clinic in Mumbai http://www.neoalta.com/tinnitus-and-ver … -in-india/ but there should be more in other parts of India.
